#productReview | Powell shorts by Chrome Industries

Hi again!
Today we return with a product review, the second about Chrome Industries products... one more time, about a spring/summer basic product, a shorts!

Past day we talked about the Natoma model, and today we bring you the Powell shorts!

Powell shorts specifications

Crush hills and carry extra gear in this heavy-duty cargo short. Chrome Industries re-engineered the out seam for maximum mobility and integrated the pocket into the seam itself for sturdy extra storage space. Full-length, seamless double layer crotch and a 5-bar webbing u-lock holster make the Powell Short the ultimate in urban cycling wear that you can still sport at the bar without looking like your dad.

  • Slim fit
  • 12" inseam
  • Model Size: Male
  • height: 6' 3" / chest: 42" / waist: 32" / shirt: M
  • The size you see in the pictures is 36, unlike the Natoma model, this is a little bit fitted, but no problem at all!

  • Five-bar webbing U-lock holster, as you can see in the pictures, I have tested it with a Kryptonite, and fits perfect!
  • Reflective rear patch for visibility
  • Reinforced belt loops
  • Matte black hardware
  • Water resistant, durable 4-way stretch Everest fabric for fit and mobility
  • Engineered articulated out seam
  • Full-length, seamless double-layer crotch for on-the-bike comfort

Powell shorts feelings

As I did with the Natoma model, I have been wearing this Powell shorts for a week: riding in urban, and walking. As I have said previously, unlike the Natoma, the Powell are a bit narrower at the waist, our size is a 36, but not a problem at all, maybe it's caused because one part of the backside waist comes with the five bar webbing u-lock holster.

In general, I felt really comfortable riding, and walking. The black color with red logo is a neutral color without lost the emblematic style of Chrome Industries clothes.
An interesting difference with the Natoma are the two side pockets, which are very useful to carry the mobile or the keys and comes with a press button to prevent losses.

The fabric, as I said in Natoma, is similar, 4 way stretch, perfect for ride and very comfortable. For exemple, when I get on or off the bike, normal pants are uncomfortable, but these do not.

  • Great fabric, the best for cycling shorts I'd ever had, super recommended
  • U-lock holster and side pockets are perfect for rider
  • Very well finished, you have what you pay for
  • Ready for cycling, but not only for cycling, you can wear it for walking, trekking,...
  • Chrome Industries style... what else?
